In the framework of Heiva International and the World Cup of 'ori tahiti (competition of' ori tahiti with groups, soloists and costumers), Te Vaka will be on the TOATA stage on 06 and 07 April 2018!
Te Vaka, an Oceania music group that plays contemporary Pacific music, was founded in 1995 by singer and songwriter Opetaia Foa'i in New Zealand. The group has toured the world extensively since 1997 and has won numerous awards, including the Pacific Music Award for their albums Tutuki (2004) and Olatia (2007) for the New Zealand Music Awards and the Best Pacific Group "in 2008" Pacific Music Awards ".
In 2015, the group was selected by Walt Disney Pictures to contribute to the soundtrack of the 2016 animated film "Moana", a 60th Anniversary album of the Grammy Awards in New York in January 2018.
Matani Kainuku, the association Nonahere, the House of Culture, the Conservatoire de Polynesie Francaise and Porinetia Adventures present the 2nd Heiva International and the Ori Tahiti World Cup on 6th and 7th April 2018.
Heiva International is an event organized to unite nations around the world to promote and share the Polynesian culture including 'Ori Tahiti.
