MAEVA : well known for its numerous "Marae" (ancient temples), MAEVA was the royal residence in
the old times and has been the object of extensive archeological research.
FAUNA NUI LAKE : Ancient stone fish traps (over 400 years old) are still in use today and provide
a considerable food source for the people of this village.
MOTU MANUNU : you will visit a unique national "Marae" where councils of war, human sacrifice,
and coronations of kings and queens were among the rituals in times of antiquity.
FAIE : Here a 2 minute boat transfer will take you to the black pearl farm grafting station, built on
stilts in the lagoon & surrounded by fish basins.
You will learn all about the Polynesian black pearl art & process.
BELVEDERE : take a steep climb, lined with teak trees and through the lush tropical forest,
and reach a breathtaking look-out point over the crater.
HUAHINE ITI : the smallest of the 2 islands, is mostly agricultural. Here you will be introduced to
some of the significant flora as well as plantations of vanilla, flowers, and pineapples.
FARE : discover the main village of Huahine, situated on the west coast and enjoy the views on the
island of RAIATEA, BORA BORA, TAHAA, all the way to the main village
