Real review for a magical stay at nice price.

august 2014 - Bora Bora, Tahiti, Moorea, Huahine

Couple on a pontoon in the Tuamotu islands

A story by Luc, in French Polynesia in August 2014:

Translated from French by Google

For our honeymoon, we decided to fly to the edge of the world... Tahiti and its islands! We decided to use a travel agency based in Polynesia to have the best information possible. We contacted several agencies and immediately we chose YES TAHITI. Ariimana in fact, our consultant, we've immediately been satisfied by its availability (despite 12 hours of gap between us), his explanations, his choices. It has met our expectations and did not hesitate to make various proposals to allow us to have exactly what we wanted.

Beach Bungalows at the guest house Fare Vaihere on Moorea islandWe've have chosen a 12 days tour with 4 islands. It started with 3 nights in Moorea at Fare Vaihere pension. We immediately fell in love! Owner friendly, beautiful location. The stay could not have started better. The friendly atmosphere was really the one we wanted by going into pensions. We did a tour of the island by minibus with a visit to a pineapple field, agricultural college, temple etc ... We also did a boat trip to see the whales and ... it was a magical moment that will remain memorable because we were able to dive with whale and her calf !! We ended our stay on Moorea by the TIKI VILLAGE. This is an activity not to miss when you come in Polynesia. It was great !!

Then we spent three days on the island of Huahine, which is much wilder than Moorea but equally charming! We stayed at the pension TUPUNA and again we had a great time. Always for the same reasons, ie the friendly owners, good food, the friendliness of a pension. It was once again great!  As we had not booked any activity on the first day the owner advised us to go canoeing (available at the pension) to a nearly deserted beach. It was a brilliant idea. Arriving there, we met with a Polynesian (the keeper of the beach) and we spent the day talking with him! We learned so much! The second day we visited the island in the land. the third day we did a lagoon tour of the island . 2 days memorable to take full eyes with all those beautiful landscapes!

Aerial view on the hotel Maitai Bora BoraNext step: Bora Bora. There we asked Ariimana an accomodation with overwater bungalow. It was MAGIC! Yes, the hotel is less friendly than a pension but for a honeymoon, a few nights overwater is a must! And whether hotel or pension, kindness Polynesian remains the same !! In Bora Bora we took advantage of the joys of the lagoon and made ??the hike "Kings Road and Valley of the ancestors." Do not leave Bora Bora without doing this hike, it would be a shame !!!!

Finally we spent two days in Tahiti, at Pension de la Plage. This pension has not left us a good impression. The reception, housing ... were far less charming than in the other isalnds.

However this has not reduced the fun we had during these 12 days.

Mauruuru to Ariimana and Yestahiti to have advised us so well and organized this beautiful travel!

Hope to return one day this magical land ... Nana!
