The new star of organic grocery stores
We knew the coconut for its lightly sweet, very refreshing water, for its delicious pulp which, when grated and pressed, yields a sweet, rich milk, notably used in the famous Tahitian poisson cru. Today, the coconut health properties are gaining fame beyond the Pacific. The new star of organic grocery stores and edible cosmetic fans, we find it in the form of virgin coconut oil.
Raiatea-Tahaa, the perfect couple
On one side, Raiatea the large one: at a 45 minute flight from Papeete, with a great number of Air Tahiti rotations, 12000 inhabitants, and a surface area as large as Tahiti, it is the administrative center of the Society Islands. A young, dynamic island that still maintains its joyous, insular atmosphere with friendly, welcoming people. A clean, well-maintained island with its impressive, unique volcanic terrain, and above all a landscape that is beautiful in good and bad weather alike, like the mystical setting of Faaroa river in the mist, which leaves no one indifferent, or the Wall of Waterfalls (18 in total!) that only reveals itself when it rains. Since there are no beaches, the locals go to the surrounding motus or to Tahaa for the day.
