Fakarava, a divers' paradise
Fakarava is ranked the second largest atoll of French Polynesia after Rangiroa. It has been a protected UNESCO biosphere since 2006. This atoll is well known for her spectacular dive sites and particularly the north pass (800m / 2,625ft wide), which makes it the largest of Tahiti and Her Islands.

Keen divers will enjoy incredible dives in Garuae pass with its beautiful coral garden. Due to the conservation of its exceptional ecosystem, you will see many rare fauna and flora.
Go on a drift dive and swim next to the most impressive marine species (hammerhead sharks, whales, manta rays…).
In between dives Tetamanu village, at the south pass of the atoll, is worth a visit with its charming coral built catholic church. A visit to a pearl farm along the numerous “motu” islets forming the atoll is also recommended.
